WebTo my knowledge the reason for these differences is whether the fluid is mineral oil based (shimano) or DOT4/DOT5.1 (sram). The latter are glycol-ether based wikipedia. The glycol based fluids absorb water and one wants to keep the brake system free of water (brake hot → water boils → gas in the system → brake power gone). WebStrength: The levers are hard if u bleed them right ,good stopping power,i use them for downhill ,dont overheat,never realy had issues untill a year later.
