WebDec 15, 2024 · The 4X burn speed does not affect the load speed of the disc once it is burned, if you are booting Linux it won't be slow because you burned the disc at 4X. 4X is the best speed to burn a DVD, if you can burn it at 2X that is even better, it will take longer but it will not loose any data or skip any files, which can happen if it burns faster.

WebMay 10, 2005 · my question is what speed cd is better for burning ps2 games, i know a lot of people would say 2.4x but the thing is on a 8x you can still pick to burn at 2.4x right, and i also think that if you get the 8x you can choose to write slower if you want to.
