Web31 jul. 2012 · MarsWeeps I just finished all 5 seasons of Stargate: Atlantis (thanks to streaming Netflix) - I can't believe they cancelled the series. I haven't watched much TV lately but thought it was a great series. I watched the first 5 or 6 episodes of SG-1, Atlantis and SGU and got hooked on Atlantis. WebI think the episode isn't the problem, but rather the placing of it right before the finale was the problem. Had there been a 6th season, I don't think anyone would have cared. Star Trek: Enterprise did the same thing, had a big two-parter set exclusively in a parallel reality (just like this episode), then came back for a two-parter an a one-hour finale.

Also, comparing SG-1 to Atlantis was kinda bad to SG-1, as it clearly did not have the same budget. Atlantis had all the explosions and space battles, while mostly SG-1 had the thinking adventures.
