Web17 jul. 2010 · The quickest and most sure way to remove the arm is with heat. Heat the arm (not the shaft) thoroughly and apply constant pressure with the puller and it will come off so easy you'll wonder why you didn't try this first. Once you have the nut and washer off you are not missing anything. If you are using a pitman arm puller and have it screwed down as tight as you can and. smacked the head of the puller screw with a hammer it should come off.

Web1 okt. 2016 · you will need to make two adjustments on the steering linkage to get it straight. you may be able to get away by shortening the link where the bar from the pitman arm connects near the passenger side steering knuckle, but that usually then requires an adjustment on the driver side too.
